Fun Fold Friday Impressions Abloom

Embossed Gate Fold Card with Belly Band

Measurements & Supplies Needed:

• Cardstock Base – 4-1/4” x 11”

• Two-Tone Cardstock – 3-1/4” x 4-1/4” and 2-1/4” x 4-1/4”

• Designer Series Paper (DSP) – 2-3/4” x 4” and 1-3/4” x 4”

• Belly Band – 1-3/4” x 11”

• Embossing Folder

• Die-cutting Machine & Oval Dies

• Stamps, Ribbon, Ink, Adhesive

• Optional: Distressing Tool

🛠️ Instructions

1. Create Your Card Base

• Cut cardstock to 4-1/4” x 11”.

• Score at 3-1/4” and 8-3/4”.

• Fold along the score lines to form a gate fold.

2. Embellish the Front Panels

• Cut two pieces of two-tone cardstock:

• One at 3-1/4” x 4-1/4”

• One at 2-1/4” x 4-1/4”

• Emboss both pieces using your embossing folder.

• Optional: Distress to reveal some of the white core for added texture.

• Cut your DSP to:

• 2-3/4” x 4”

• 1-3/4” x 4”

• Layer the DSP over the embossed cardstock pieces and adhere to the front gate panels.

3. Create the Belly Band

• Cut a strip of cardstock to 1-3/4” x 11”.

• Score at 3-1/4” and 7-3/4”.

• Fold and wrap around the closed card, securing ends to form the belly band.

• Emboss a piece of two-tone cardstock and die cut an oval shape for decoration.

• Add your stamped or die-cut images, ribbon, and sentiment to the front of the belly band.

4. Complete the Inside

• Cut a piece of white or coordinating cardstock to 4” x 5-1/4”.

• Stamp as desired, then adhere to the inside of your card.
