Friday I shared this beautiful Moonlight Flora 3-D Pop-Up Card… and let me just say — wait until you see how it opens! 😍

The best part?

👉 It looks WOW… but it’s actually easier than you think!

Z-Fold Pop-Up Card Directions

Step 1: Create Your Card Base

• Start with cardstock 4 1/4” x 11”

• Score at 5 1/2” and fold in half

• On the front panel, fold it back to create a Z-fold

Step 2: Add Front Panels

You will need:

• (2) Cardstock pieces: 2 1/2” x 4”

• (2) DSP pieces: 2 1/4” x 3 3/4”

Assemble:

• Layer DSP onto each cardstock piece

• Adhere to the front Z-fold panels

Step 3: Main Layer Panel

You will need:

• (1) Cardstock: 4” x 5 1/4”

• (1) DSP: 3 3/4” x 5”

Assemble:

• Layer DSP onto cardstock

• Attach to the inside of the card base

Step 4: First Pop-Up Mechanism

You will need:

• (1) Cardstock: 3 1/2” x 5 1/2”

• Score at 1 1/2”, 3 1/2”, and 5”

• (1) DSP: 1 3/4” x 3”

Assemble:

• Fold on score lines (accordion style)

• Add DSP to the second panel

Step 5: Second Pop-Up Mechanism

You will need:

• (1) Cardstock: 2 1/2” x 4 1/2”

• Score at 1”, 3”, and 4”

• (1) DSP: 1 3/4” x 2 1/4”

Assemble:

• Fold on score lines

• Add DSP to the second panel

Step 6: Assemble the Pop-Up Inside

1. Take the larger mechanism (3 1/2” x 5 1/2”)

• Add glue to the first and last panels

• Adhere inside the card base

2. Take the smaller mechanism (2 1/2” x 4 1/2”)

• Add glue to the first and last panels

• Attach it to the first pop-up mechanism inside

3. Close the card and allow it to dry

👉 When opened, this creates your pop-up effect!

Step 7: Inside Panel

• (1) Basic White cardstock: 4” x 5 1/4”

• Stamp your sentiment

• Adhere to the back inside panel

Step 8: Decorate the Front

• Add:

• Sentiment (stamped or die cut)

• Ribbon

• Gems

• Any embellishments you love

✨ You now have a beautiful Z-Fold Pop-Up Card!
