Waterside Retreat Fence Fold Card – Directions

Card Base:

1. Start with a piece of cardstock 4 1/4” x 11”.

2. Score at 5 1/2” and fold in half.

3. On the front panel, cut off 3” from the right side.

    * Save this piece for your fence strips.

Fence Pieces:

4. From the 3” piece you removed, cut:

* Four strips at 3/4” x 4 1/4” 

* cut one more strip at 3/4” x 4 1/4” (this will be your cross piece)

5. From your woodgrain Designer Series Paper (DSP), cut:

    * Five strips at 3/4” x 4 1/4” (to layer on the cardstock strips)

… 10 if you want to cover the inside of the fence 

Build the Fence:

6. Adhere the DSP strips to the four 3/4” cardstock strips.

7. Attach these four strips vertically across the front panel.

8. Take the ¾ x 4 1/4” strip and place it horizontally (across) the front to create the fence look.

9. Glue all pieces in place.

Cover the Inside of the Fence:

10. Cut two pieces of DSP at 2 1/2” x 4 1/4”:

* Adhere one to the front panel to hide the strip ends

* Adhere the second to the inside panel of the card to hide the strip ends

Inside Panel:

11. Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4” x 5 1/4”.

12. Stamp your greeting and adhere it to the inside.

Decorating:

13. Die cut your images and arrange them on the front of the card.

14. Use dimensionals to add depth on both the front and inside elements.

15. Finish with gems or embellishments.
